Every Thursday night, I sit down at my computer to write these posts. These Thursdays keep coming around so quickly. I feel like I just wrote the last one yesterday. I'm pooped. We're pooped. We are having a blast, but working very long, very hard days.

Queens Theatre today announced the cast for this month's rarely seen New York City stage production of Harper Lee's classic To Kill A Mockingbird. Directed by Rob Urbinati, To Kill A Mockingbird is playing a two-week engagement with performances beginning on Friday, November 13th and extending through Sunday, November 22. c

Queens Theatre (QT) is pleased to announce its World Premiere production of Rob Urbinati'sTHE QUEEN BEES, a new musical directed by Jose Zayas. THE QUEEN BEES will play a two week limited engagement at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park). Performances begin Friday, May8and continue through Sunday, May17.Performances areFridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm, Sundays at 3pm, with an additional matinee on Friday, May 15 at 2pm. On Monday July 14 at 7:30pm, Red Bull Theater will host its 4th Annual SHORT NEW PLAY FESTIVAL, featuring new plays by David Ives, Anne Washburn, Will Kenton, Tabia Lau, Bridgette Dutta Portman, Lynn Rosen, Tom Rowan and James Still.

As they continue their 47th Season, the Gallery Players' first production of the New Year will be Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's elegantly sophisticated romantic comedy A Little Night Music. Based on the Ingmar Bergman film 'Smiles on a Summer Night,' the five-time Tony winning musical features an elaborate score of waltzes, including the Grammy-winning 'Send in the Clowns.' Night Music features the most iconic traits of Sondheim's repertoire, boasting a complex score riddled with hilarious wit. A delicate dream of a musical, the sentimental comedy follows a trio of mismatched lovers as they twist, turn, and tumble toward their true love. While the material is sure to impress, make no mistake that the lavish costumes and luxurious set will invite Gallery's audiences for a taste of 'The Glamorous Life.'

The Gallery Players will present Master Class by Terrence McNally beginning March 16th. Carolyn Mignini* stars as legendary opera singer, Maria Callas. Ms. Mignini's Broadway and Off-Broadway appearances include Guys and Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof , Tintypes, The Fantasticks and Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All/The Actor's Nightmare. Tom Rowan directs this limited engagement production which runs through March 31st.
