Award winning writer/director/producer Tom Cavanaugh is hosting an open house, staged reading of his new play, BARKLEE at AMT Theater, 354 W. 45th Street, NY, NY on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, at 7pm.

You Gotta Believe (YGB), a New York City-based, national organization that focuses exclusively on finding permanent parents and families for older kids in foster care, hosted its 9th annual Voices: Stars for Foster Kids benefit concert at Town Hall in NYC, on Monday, September 18th. Award winning playwright, Tom Cavanaugh will present the World Premiere his new, short play as part of the 2022 Pittsburgh New Works Play Festival Thursday, August 25th at 8pm PT & 11pm EST.

Stars in the House for Ukraine, an 11+ Hour telethon of the weekly streaming show, raised $139,000 for the International Rescue Committee's humanitarian efforts for those affected by the war in Ukraine. That total is inclusive of a generous matching donation by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which matched the first $50,000 worth of donations.

More celebrity guests have been added to Stars in the House For Ukraine – the 10-hour telethon to raise money and awareness for those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. Hosted by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, the show will air live on Saturday, March 26th from 12:00pm ET – 10:00pm ET.

Cavanaugh and Ritchey met at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in 2014. After years of championing one another's work (Cavanaugh won 'Best Solo Show'' for UNDER THE JELLO MOLD at the 2018 Hollywood Fringe and Ritchey received 'Best Cabaret Variety' for ANGEL'S FLIGHT in 2016 and BLACKBOXING in 2019), they began working together on film and stage projects including the Culvert City Film Festival 'Best Short Comedy' winner POKER NIGHT and the Fringe-nominated show NIC AND BROOKE'S COMEDY DANCE PARTY.

On Saturday, November 10th I had the pleasure of working with a theatre company that is so near and dear to my heart. It had been some time since I've last worked with La Strada Ensemble Theater and I felt my heart flutter as I walked into the Jersey Shore Arts Center to a group of lovely, talented, and inspiring people. It was a day full of performances for La Strada as they had a program of original one acts, Happenstance at 2PM and 8PM with the reading of 'Cracker Box' by Gary C. Walter between shows at 4PM.

La Strada Theater Ensemble is one of New Jersey's premiere developmental theater companies to collaborate actors from the tri-state area with playwrights from throughout across the world.  HAPPENSTANCE is a collection of new short plays with theater artists from the New Jersey and New York on stage!
