The final production in Chichester's Festival 2012 features acclaimed actors Anna Chancellor and Toby Stephens in the play widely considered to be Noel Coward's masterpiece.

Chichester Festival Theatre celebrates its 50th birthday with an anniversary season that echoes and acknowledges the past while also looking to the future. Uncle Vanya was part of Chichester's very first season in 1962 and became a key part of its history and is revisited during Festival 2012. The Way of the World in 1984 has also become an emblematic production; the play will feature again this year.

OperaUpClose's new version of La Fanciulla del West, updating the piece to 21st century Soho, directed by award-winning opera and theatre director Robert Chevara, will get its world premiere at the King's Head Theatre in a five week season from Tuesday 31 January - Saturday 3 February 2012.

The National Theatre has announced casting for its upcoming productions, starting with Moira Buffini's WELCOME TO THEBES which will run starting June 15. The final production in Jonathan Kent's Theatre Royal Haymarket Season will be the world premiere of 'Marguerite' a new musical starring Ruthie Henshall, Julian Ovenden, and Alexander Hanson. 'Marguerite' will begin performances on May 7th.

Jonathan Kent's production of William Wycherley's The Country Wife will have its last performance on 12 January 2008 as previously announced.
