The delightful musical-comedy Me and My Girl launches Tim Carroll's first season as the Shaw Festival's artistic director.

The Shaw Festival introduces a new annual holiday tradition to Niagara-on-the-Lake: Artistic Director Tim Carroll's fanciful production of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol previews November 15, opens November 25 and runs through December 23 at the Royal George Theatre.

At the Annual General Meeting held earlier today, executives of the Shaw Festival announced the financial results of the 2016 season while celebrating Jackie Maxwell's final year as artistic director.

The Shaw Festival was saddened to learn of the passing of our Co-Founder, and Founding Board Chair, Mr. Calvin Rand of Buffalo, NY. In 1962, Mr. Rand and Brian Doherty produced four performances each of Bernard Shaw's Don Juan in Hell and Candida staged in the Assembly Room of Niagara-on-the-Lake's historic Court House. In this singular act of passion for theatre, the Shaw Festival was born.

The first Central London production in eighty years of Rodney Ackland's After October opens at the Finborough Theatre for a limited four and a half week season on Tuesday, 22 November 2016.

It is too late for John, however, who has been fatally poisoned. After his death, John's son ascends the throne as Henry III, and an honourable peace is negotiated between England and France.

Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins' critically acclaimed new comic play NICE FISH will transfer to the West End this winter, following sold-out seasons at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University in Cambridge and St Ann's Warehouse in New York. Directed by Claire van Kampen, the production runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre 15 November-21 January 2017, with press night on 25 November.
