As a way of celebrating the summertime festivities on Buffalo's beautiful Canalside, American Repertory Theater of WNY invites supporters of creative young minds to attend the second Young Playwrights Festival at Canalside, July 19th, 20th and 21st.

In keeping with American Repertory Theater of WNY's mission statement of supporting a new generation of American playwrights, ART is proud to announce, through the Erie Canal Harbor Development, the Young Playwright showcase July 2013 as part of the summer programming on Canalside.

Thomas M. Sullivan is a very accomplished humorous author. He's been a regular contributor at Humor Outcasts, has written two published novels, and is becoming quite well-known in the online world. He's talked about all of this in a recent interview with Donna Cavanagh of Humor Outcasts Radio; the interview is now available as a podcast.

WALLFLOWERS, a narrative comedy web series by filmmaker Kieran Turner (director of acclaimed doc Jobriath A.D), world premieres this week with the first of five weekly episodes on Blip TV. Set in the cruelly comedic dating world of modern NYC, WALLFLOWERS details the disastrous romantic exploits of a tight knit group of Gen-X stragglers coping with the ecstasy and the agony of single life - as members of a Manhattan support group for the hopelessly single. Fangs, freaks and fright fill Archaia Black Label's newly announced horror anthology, MOON LAKE, an original graphic novel hardcover coming October 2010 in association with the diversely talented writer/director Dan Fogler and his company, Unkatush, Inc.

Tony Winner Dan Fogler premiered his directing debut at the Tribeca Film Festival last week. The movie, Hysterical Psycho, is a spoof of cabin in the woods movies, made with his theater group, Stage 13.
