This September 23rd, Tony nominated, Emmy, Helen Hays and Outer Critics Award-Winning tap dancer and choreographer Ted Louis Levy ('Black and Blue,' 'Jelly's Last Jam,' 'Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk') will present 'Swing the Vote,' a 90-minute tap dance production at the Roulette Theater in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn at 8:00pm.

The 17th Vancouver International Tap Festival will once again celebrate, showcase and explore the hot, enduring art of Tap Dance from Sept. 1 - 4, 2016. Internationally recognized as one the premier events of it's kind, its unique and ambitious programs have become VITF's trademark.

According to Artistic Director/Producer Tony Waag, Tap Treasures Showcase "reinvestigates and revisits eight historic locations in Manhattan that contributed to the evolution of tap dance." The hour-long show was performed at The Duke on 42nd Street on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

The American Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF), Tony Waag, Executive Director, has announced ATDF has been selected to administer the prestigious Fred and Adele Astaire Awards beginning with the 2016/2017 Broadway season.

Tap City 2016, The American Tap Dance Foundation's (ATDF) week-long tap dance festival, will return for it's 16th year to New York City July 9 to 16 with award presentations, master classes and performances by local and international artists in what has become the premiere meeting place for hundreds of American and International tap dancers to study, teach and perform.

A re-imagined version of the 1921 musical SHUFFLE ALONG, one of the earliest stage hits starring, written and directed by African-Americans, opens tonight, April 28, on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) is accepting enrollment into their Dance Conservatory courses for the spring semester. With professional instructors and schedules fit for working adults and teens, these programs are suitable for amateurs and professionals. The Conservatory of Dance provides the community with affordable, high-quality dance classes and is designed to introduce dancers to professionals who are currently working as choreographers, dancers and educators in dance and theatre at a collegiate level. Classes will run from January 19 - May 9. No classes March 21 - March 25. 

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) announced its 2015-16 season, presented by Dawn and Jacques Lipson, this evening in grand style in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. This one-night-only event will feature Grammy Award-winning 1920s and 30s musical interpreters Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks (HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire,' Woody Allen's Radio Days, and Martin Scorsese's The Aviator), as well as special guest stars including acclaimed soprano Amy Burton (The Metropolitan Opera, City Opera, Carnegie Hall), Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, They're Playing Our Song, Brighton Beach Memoirs), Jason Graae (Falsettos, A Grand Night for Singing), Ted Levy(Jelly's Last Jam, Black and Blue), Grammy-winning jazz and blues vocalistCatherine Russell (featured on soundtracks for HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' and the film Kill Your Darlings), and two-time Tony nominee Tom Wopat (Catch Me If You Can, Annie Get Your Gun, Sondheim on Sondheim).
