Professional theaters from across Michigan will share the spotlight August 19 when The 2013 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield. On the heels of his success at London's legendary Last Night of the BBC Proms this past weekend-which was broadcast live on television, radio, online, and in cinemas across the U.K.-Joseph Calleja, "arguably today's finest lyric tenor" (NPR), returns to the Big Apple tonight, October 11 to perform selections from his new Decca Classics recording, Be My Love: A Tribute to Mario Lanza, in a concert with orchestra at City Winery in downtown Manhattan.

This Monday sees the U.S. release of The Maltese Tenor, Joseph Calleja's third solo album for Decca Classics. To celebrate the event, Calleja will perform selections from the recording live on Monday evening at New York City's (Le) Poisson Rouge. Complete with special guest appearances, the concert will be webcast live on www.npr.org/music.

Mexico-born pianist Jorge Federico Osorio joins the Chicago Symphony Orchestra led by Ravinia Music Director James Conlon to perform the complete Beethoven concertos over two days beginning with an 8 p.m. concert on Thursday, July 15, featuring concertos No. 1, 2 and 3. The July 15 concert continues Ravinia's celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence, with the festival teaming with its hometown city of Highland Park, which maintains a strong sister cities relationship with Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta will send a cultural delegation, including its mayor, to the festival for the July 15 concert. Chef Thierry Blouet, owner of the acclaimed Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta and Café des Artistes del Mar in Punta Mita, will be a guest chef in Ravinia's Park View restaurant on July 15 and 16.

Strobel and President and CEO Welz Kauffman today announced details of the 2010 season, including a Chicago Symphony Orchestra residency that celebrates major anniversaries of Mahler, Chopin, Schumann, Barber, Bernstein and Copland, as well as milestone birthdays of Music Director James Conlon, Christoph Eschenbach and Stephen Sondheim. The season, featuring 117 separate events, runs from June 3 through September 7.

Sting will be touring with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio for 38 performances in the United States and Canada before starting his own European tour.
