'Guys and Dolls', the classic Broadway musical, brings a veteran Broadway cast to New Hope, PA at the historic Bucks County Playhouse through August 12, 2017. Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Josh Fiedler are proud that this is the largest production since the reopening of Bucks County Playhouse in 2012. The 2017 Bucks County Playhouse Season is sponsored by Bank of America.

The Composers Now Festival empowers living composers, celebrates the diversity of their voices, and honors the significance of their contributions to our society. On February 1, the eighth annual festival begins with a celebratory event at the DiMenna Center. Hosted by founder/artistic director Tania Leon, a diverse group of composer and performers including Muhal Richard Abrams, Edmar Castenada, Jessie Montgomery, Nkeiru Okoye, and Tyshawn Sorey will present and discuss recent works.

On Thursday, May 19, 2016, 7:30pm at The Firehouse Space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, composer Peri Mauer's recently composed piece for solo trumpet, RED SKY, will be performed by Alexandria Smith in a Composer's Voice Concert of New Music. The Firehouse Space is located at 246 Frost St. In Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The L train to Graham Ave. will get you there. Admission is $10.

Sundance Institute screens several films in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections, as well as hosting the Special Events section and welcoming participants for two panels, at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, running today, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

From now through September 2014, The Parklot, Minneapolis' new, first-of-its-kind pop-up park, will be the site of Workday Afterparty, a free music/entertainment series on Tuesdays from 5 to 6 p.m.; and Food for Thought, a free lunchtime speaker series on Fridays from noon to 1 p.m., paired with a local food truck. The Parklot is located in the parking lot adjacent to the Orpheum Theatre between 9th and 10th Streets in downtown Minneapolis on Hennepin Avenue. Events are held as weather permits.

Made Here, downtown Minneapolis' new urban walking gallery, today announced that some 40 storefront window 'Showcases' will be installed throughout this June 2014 as part of the largest storefront window initiative in the country. Encompassing 15 venues and covering nearly15 city blocks, Made Here features work by more than 50 individual artists and 11 artist collaborations. On Friday, July 11 at 7 p.m. there will be a Made Here Launch Celebration free to the general public in downtown Minneapolis. Details will be released shortly.
