This December Main Street Theater is bringing back the holiday favorites Miss Bennet and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley via live, staged readings on Zoom. Main Street has been offering the Pemberley plays - based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and written by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon - for the last few seasons.

I always expect greatness from 'The Lion King.' To have a cast without a weak link among them. To blow me away with choreography and costumes, even if I've seen it before. 'The Lion King' never fails to meet every one of these great expectations, and the show currently on stage at the Marcus Center is no exception.

The North American Tour of Disney's The Lion King has released new production photos featuring the current cast. Currently at The Aronoff Center in Cincinnati, the tour heads to 14 other cities in 2020 including Milwaukee, South Bend, Toledo, Omaha, Denver, Tempe and Costa Mesa.

Casting for Disney's The Lion King has been announced for the long-awaited return engagement in Milwaukee. The Lion King will leap onto the Marcus Center stage on February 5 for a four-week engagement through March 1 as part of the Johnson Financial Group Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America-Milwaukee series.

Making its Grand Rapids debut, after playing Detroit, Kalamazoo, and East Lansing in the past, Disney's The Lion King finally comes to Grand Rapids! Taking 17 full semi trailers to travel into town, It's full of the Lion King classic musical numbers and characters you know and love from the movie, and some new Musical numbers as well. They include the opening musical number a?oeCircle of Life', a?oeJust Can't Wait to Be Kinga??, to the always funny and humorous 'Hakuna Matataa?? and the moving a?oeCan You Feel the Love Tonighta??. These songs will be sure to have you singing along, having some goosebumps, and possibly some tears.

Casting for Disney's The Lion King has been announced for the long-awaited return engagement in Rochester. The Lion King will leap onto RBTL's Auditorium Theatre stage on Thursday, December 19 for a three-week engagement through Sunday, January 5.

Casting has been announced for Disney's The Lion King at North Charleston Performing Arts Center's stage on Wednesday, December 4 for a two-week engagement through Sunday, December 15.

Casting has been announced for Disney's THE LION KING at the Citizens Bank Opera House on October 3, 2019 for a limited four-week engagement through October 27, 2019 as part of the 2019/2020 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

I can't quite explain why this is the most successful musical of all time, but I can't deny that it works.

Casting has been announced for the premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING in West Palm Beach.  THE LION KING will leap onto The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts' Bernard and Chris Marden stage on Wednesday, April 24 for a 2-week engagement through Sunday, May 5.

The Lion King is King of the Musical Jungle

Casting has been announced for the premiere engagement of Disney's THE LION KING at The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. THE LION KING will leap onto the Van Wezel stage on Thursday, March 14 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, March 31.

THE LION KING opened at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton on February 7 and will continue to play through February 24. Whether this is your first time seeing it or your 50th, it is an elaborate, engaging, immersive experience audiences are unlikely to forget.

Casting has been announced for the return engagement of Disney's The Lion King in the Fox Cities. The Lion King will leap onto the Fox Cities P.A.C. stage Thursday, Feb. 7 for a 3-week engagement through Sunday, Feb. 24.

Dear Readers, I'm going to start out by coming clean to a fact that may cause a few gasps. I've never liked "The Lion King". Unlike much of the rest of America I didn't think the movie was that great and I seriously don't care for the stage version. The story is just a watered-down version of "Hamlet", the music is written by committee with many different composers contributing to the score making for an inconsistent show, and it's all flash and spectacle trying to overshadow songs that don't move anything along by throwing everything they can on stage to distract. It's just overrated. "But," many have retorted, "the costumes are so great." To which I always reply, "Yes, and you see many of them in the first five minutes of the show in the costume parade disguised as an opening number, "Circle of Life". And then after you've seen that, then what? The show has blown their big moment at the beginning of the show and it's all downhill from there. Plus, this is a musical. I come for more than costumes." But we're not here for me to eviscerate "The Lion King", which I could do all day. We know I don't care for it but that aside, how was the current production at the Paramount? Let's discuss that.

Main Street Theater brings back its holiday hit, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon.  MST Founder and Artistic Director Rebecca Greene Udden has long been a champion of Jane Austen's work, even adapting Pride and Prejudice for the stage herself, which the company produced in 1988 and 1996.  It seems only fitting, then, that MST would select Miss Bennet, the sequel to Pride and Prejudice, for its holiday offering. 

Casting has been announced for the Seattle engagement of Disney's THE LION KING.    In addition, due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, a new performance has been added and will occur on Wednesday, January 2 at 1:00 p.m.

Casting has been announced for the Las Vegas engagement of Disney's THE LION KING, which will leap onto The Smith Center stage on Nov. 7 for a limited three-week engagement through Nov. 25.
