Harry Potter mania grips London, while over the pond the States is seized by Hamilton fever. What do they have in common? Completing his trio of Tchaikovsky's great ballets, Sir Matthew Bourne has turned his choreographic hand to Sleeping Beauty, with the added surtitle 'a gothic romance.' After reportedly experiencing divine inspiration whilst staying in the former bedroom of the renowned Russian composer, Bourne has re-worked the notoriously difficult narrative of this famous fairy tale, injecting new life into a story where the protagonist usually spends much of the time asleep.

Rehearsal photos have been released today from the world premiere of the explosive Fleet Street black comedy CLARION.

An exhibition of new photographs by Simon Annand of some of Britain's leading playwrights will open at the Royal Exchange in Manchester this April, to mark the 10th anniversary of The Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting.

The 2015 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting opens its 10th anniversary competition today. Writers of all levels of experience are invited to enter plays, which must be original, unperformed and unproduced. The winner will receive a prize of £16,000 and a full production of their play at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester. The competition is a unique partnership between the Royal Exchange Theatre and property company Bruntwood.
