It's difficult to remember the last show that made me laugh as much as the Marriott Theatre's MURDER FOR TWO. It was probably THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, which is currently reigning as the longest-running play on Broadway and soon to embark on a national tour. Murder mystery farces are clearly in fashion, but MURDER FOR TWO falls into a delightful subgenre of its own.

Combining the perfect mix of music, mayhem and murder, comes the hit musical comedy, Murder for Two, running July 3 through August 26, with a press opening on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire. Written by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair, and featuring two powerhouse actors performing 13 roles and playing the piano throughout, Murder for Two is a modern twist on the classic whodunit, directed by Jeff Award winner Scott Weinstein (Drury Lane: Rock of Ages; Griffin: Ragtime, Violet; National Tour, Las Vegas and Chicago productions of Million Dollar Quartet; world premiere of Baristas at the New York International Fringe Festival), with Music Direction by Matt Deitchman (Marriott Theatre: She Loves Me, Shrek).

Griffin Theatre Company is pleased to conclude its 30th anniversary season with the Chicago premiere of THE HARVEST, Samuel D. Amy Rubenstein, Artistic Director, and Evelyn Jacoby, Managing Director of Windy City Playhouse today announced  the theater's 2018-2019 season featuring an extended run of Leslie Liautaud's critically acclaimed hit "Southern Gothic" through December 9, 2018; the Windy City Playhouse premiere of Michael Frayn's hilarious play-within-a-play "Noises Off"directed by Jeff Award-winner Scott Weinstein, starting performances January 9, 2019 and the Chicago premiere of Jonathan Caren's gripping coming-of-age story "The Recommendation"with performances beginning May 1, 2019.

The Jeff Awards announced today a total of 115 nominations in 19 categories for the 45th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards.

Redtwist Theatre presents Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, and directed by Scott Weinstein, featuring Redtwist company member & Jeff Award-winner Brian Parry as Richard Nixon. The show opens Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 3pm (this is also the press opening) and runs Thu, Fri, Sat at 7:30pm; Sun at 3pm, through Sun, May 20.
