Marc Shaiman took to social media to share a video of his reaction to winning the Grammy for Best Musical Theater album for the musical Some Like It Hot.

The GRAMMY will be awarded to Christian Borle, J. Harrison Ghee, Adrianna Hicks and NaTasha Yvette Williams, principal vocalists; Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Bryan Carter, Scott M. Riesett, Charlie Rosen and Marc Shaiman, producers; Scott Wittman, lyricist; Marc Shaiman, composer and lyricist (Original Broadway Cast).

Five new recordings have earned nominations for Best Musical Theatre Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, including: Kimberly Akimbo, Parade, Shucked, Some Like It Hot, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Listen to all of them here!

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of SOME LIKE IT HOT will be recorded this month and released March 24 on streaming and digital platforms worldwide, with physical release to follow.

Today, Sony Masterworks Broadway has released FLYING OVER SUNSET (ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST RECORDING), an album of music from the Lincoln Center Theater production. 

Available everywhere now, the soundtrack features vocals by Harry Connick, Jr., Nicole Scherzinger, Tituss Burgess and Megan Hilty, with newcomer Celina Smith in the titular role of Annie and Taraji P. In honor and celebration of Nick's memory, over 150 of his friends, colleagues, and family from all over the world came together to sing the song that will keep Nick in our hearts forever 'One of the Great Ones' from A Bronx Tale. The resulting video was featured during the streaming of the memorial.
