Nominations for the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at the New York Friars Club. 'A Catered Affair' led the way with 12 nominations.

PS CLASSICS is proud to announce the release of ONE OUNCE OF TRUTH: THE NIKKI GIOVANII SONGS, the extraordinary new collaboration from the team of vocalist Capathia Jenkins and songwriter/performer Louis Rosen. Laura Griffith received the ceremonial Gypsy Robe as the cast member of South Pacific with the most ensemble credits under her belt. Griffith was previously in The Sweet Smell of Success, Oklahoma! and The Light in the Piazza.

Broadway's razzle-dazzle hit musical Chicago is pleased to welcome back Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly for two weeks only at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 West 49th Street). MacLeod will appear from Thursday, February 21 through Thursday, March 6, while Brenda Braxton is on vacation

Plans are underway for the first Japanese-language production of Kander and Ebb's Tony Award-winning Broadway musical phenomenon Chicago. The production is set to debut this October at the Akasaka ACT Theatre in Tokyo, followed by an engagement at the Umeda Art Theatre in Osaka in November.
