Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will complete its 2016 season entitled Paint It Red with the snappy, jazzy holiday musical comedy The Happy Elf. Drama Learning Center's professional training company for emerging young artists will present the area premiere of new American musical Hands on a Hardbody next month. Inspired by true events and based on the acclaimed 1997 documentary of the same name by S. R. Bindler, Hands on a Hardbody follows 10 hard-luck Texans searching for a new lease on life. Under a scorching sun for days on end, armed with nothing but hope, humor and ambition, each contestant fights to keep at least one hand on a brand-new truck in order to win it. In the hilarious, hard-fought contest that is Hands on a Hardbody, only one winner can drive away with American Dream.
