After weeks of playing to packed houses, Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore is extending its Los Angeles run in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse through at least August 1.

Paula Brancati, Lauren Collins, Wendy Crewson, Cynthia Dale, Andrea Martin, and Louise Pitre are officially set to be the first cast of the Toronto production of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE. As in the initial New York staging of the play by Nora and Delia Ephron, the production will feature a company of six that rotates in four-week cycles. The next cast will be announced in the next upcoming weeks.

The Geffen Playhouse's second cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore will include Lucy DeVito, Conchata Ferrell and Rhea Perlman. Devito, who is best known for her stints Off-Broadway as well as spots on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has appeared in many casts of the New York production. Joining DeVito is her mother, four-time Emmy Award winner Rhea Perlman.

Actresses Justina Machado and Nancy Travis are trying Love, Loss and What I Wore on for size. They join previously announced actresses Lucy DeVito, Conchata Ferrell and Rhea Perlman in the Geffen Playhouse's second cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's award-winning collection of stories.

Michael Rubinoff in association with Daryl Roth is proud to announce that the Canadian premiere of the award-winning, New York smash hit LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, an intimate collection of stories by sisters Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron - who together have written some of the most iconic romantic comedies in recent memory including the screenplay You've Got Mail (solo successes include Nora's Julie & Julia and Delia's The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) - will play Toronto's Panasonic Theatre, July 16-September 4, 2010. Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Jayne Houdyshell and Carol Kane will join the March cast of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's hit Off Broadway show, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which has been playing to sold-out houses at the Westside Theatre. They join the previously announced Didi Conn, Fran Drescher and Natasha Lyonne. Rosie O'Donnell, who performed as part of the opening cast and was to return to the show in March, had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts and family obligations.

I can't say I've ever really associated important events in my life with what I was wearing. Oh sure, I remember the powder beige tux I wore to my 1977 senior prom (my date picked it out) but since moving to New York I think it's safe to just assume I was wearing black whenever anything significant happened. Not so for the ladies of Love, Loss and What I Wore, a show that my female guest assures me gives an accurate portrayal of how women tend to hold important memories in the stitches of their apparel. And though such sentiments may be foreign to my nature (or perhaps nurture) I found the ninety-minute evening warm, funny (often hilarious), cleverly written and terrifically performed.
