In addition to its performances of 'Dial 'M' for Murder', the Hill Country Community Theatre will also be holding a very special event. Veteran HCCT actors Melissa Rowe, Bob Turnbaugh and Preston Kirk will read Ron Clark's comedy A BENCH IN THE SUN on stage in a special performance on February 14 at 2:15 pm.

Kudos to Mary Kay Cyrus, who directed a hilarious, perfectly cast, well rehearsed, seamless production! The cast and crew were simply outstanding, as if in performance for weeks. BRAVO!

They soon discover that while they may be too difficult for everyone else in the world, they are perfect for each other.

HANDLE WITH CARE will preview tonight, November 5; Thursday, November 6; and Friday, November 7 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, December 14, with no performances Thanksgiving week.

Joyce DeWitt has just been confirmed to play opposite Micky Dolenz in Mike Reiss' new play Comedy Is Hard!, premiering Wednesday, September 24, at The Ivoryton Playhouse in Ivoryton, Connecticut.

Certainly those of us who frequent any Jewish deli in Los Angeles will recognize these characters. Playwright Sam Bobrick admits some of the events in the play's 12 sketches actually happened to him, some to his friends, and some to people he just happened to be sitting next to at lunch. After working in the entertainment business for over 50 years, he's not sure which is which.
