Tonight Daniel Sofoluke was awarded the prestigious title of Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2019 at The Y, Leicester. Daniel triumphed in a closely-run competition, which saw a total of eight of the best up and coming acts - each selected by top comedy promoters from across the UK - who performed their best seven minutes in front of an esteemed comedy industry panel and a sold-out audience at Leicester Comedy Festival.

Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, today announced the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) Winter 2019 season which includes the world stage premiere of a new musical adaptation of The Boy in the Dress, based on the best-selling novel by David Walliams with songs by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers.
