Rosie Benton (Stick Fly, Accent on Youth), Erik Lochtefeld, and P.J. Sosko will play three Civil War re-enactors in the world premiere of Jessica Dickey's dark comedy, Row After Row, directed by Daniella Topol, Women's Project Theater's Producing Artistic Director Julie Crosby announced. Row After Row, which marks the 36th season of Women's Project Theater, begins previews January 15 for an opening January 23 at Women's Project Theater's home, New York City Center Stage II, 131 West 55th Street.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO is adapting the Broadway play Stick Fly by Lydia Diamond, who will also write the script for the hourlong TV drama and executive produce with former collaborators Alicia Keys and Nelle Nugent.

Joining the previously-announced Mark Linn-Baker will be Clea Alsip, Rosie Benton, Lauren Ashley Carter, Scott Drummond, Lizbeth Mackay and Christopher Tocco. Helmed by Joe Grifasi, this tale of matrimonial mayhem will begin performances tonight, October 2 and continue through Sunday, October 28. Opening night, with a dessert reception sponsored by Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi restaurants, will be Friday, October 5.

The producers of STICK FLY just announced that the on sale period has been extended by popular demand and tickets are now available through April 8, 2012, with special Spring Break Wednesday matinees in March through April 4. Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter Alicia Keys is proud to present and write original music for the Broadway premiere of Lydia R. Christmas 2011 is just days away and in celebration of the holiday season, we reached out to the stars of Broadway to find out what traditions they like best about the holiday season. Between spending time with family and friends, blasting Christmas music and Christmas tree decorating, eating Chinese food and watching movies, the stars seem to love it all!

Call me envious, but the genre of plays that feature smart, educated, financially well-off characters screwing up their lives under the knowing smirks of the maid serves as a kind of comfort food for me.  And while the discomfort in class, racial and gender issues experienced by the LeVay family in Lydia R. Diamond's funny and quite heated family drama, Stick Fly, may seem a bit too familiar at times, director Kenny Leon and his terrific ensemble help deliver a lively evening.

While you probably wouldn't expect period recordings of 'Let's Do It' and 'St. Louis Woman' to be part of the pre-show soundtrack for a family friendly production of Snow White, director/choreographer Austin McCormick's Company XIV has never been a group to provide the expected.
