On this week's episode of 32 Bar Cut: The Show, we are sitting down with Broadway and Disney+ star, Roman Banks. We were so excited to chat with the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star! Roman has overcome a lot of diversity to get to where he is today, and on this episode, he's sharing all of it.

In the second season of the series, the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform 'Beauty and the Beast' as their spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win a prestigious and cutthroat student theater competition. Wigs are snatched, loyalties are tested, and ballads are belted.

The first-ever New Works Virtual Festival kicks off tonight! Every evening from December 5th - 25th of 2020 at 8PM EST/5PM PT, the New Works Virtual Festival will stream video readings of 20 new scripts of non-musical pieces (19 plays, 1 teleplay) as well as an 21st (a 'Christmas Special') featuring the work of a diverse group of writers and all-star cast members.

Together in quarantine from their own homes, performers from the 2019 industry reading of popstar reunited to record and release a music video of the show's musical finale to help benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

Roman Banks will release his EP, Days, on March 27 on all digital streaming platforms.

Olivia Rose Keegan, who will play Lily, was nominated twice for a Daytime Emmy Award for her role of Claire Brady on long-running soap opera, 'Days of our Lives,' Olivia Rose Keegan has been singing and acting since the tender age of seven.  She is also known for her leading role in family film 'Salvation Street' and guest starring roles in Disney Channel's 'A.N.T. Farm,' Nickelodeon's 'Sam & Cat' and 'The Thundermans' and feature film 'Decoding Annie Parker,' alongside Helen Hunt, Aaron Paul, Samantha Morton and Rashida Jones.  Keegan plays Lily, an energetic and adorable East High freshman whose sweetness masks her insecurity and highly competitive nature.

Broadway has found its next Evan Hansen! Producer Stacey Mindich just announced today that recording artist and actor Jordan Fisher will return to Broadway, joining the cast of the Tony Award- winning musical Dear Evan Hansen, playing the title role for a limited 16-week engagement, beginning Tuesday, January 28. Fisher succeeds Andrew Barth Feldman, who plays his final performance on Sunday, January 26.

An invitation-only staged reading of the new musical PopStar a?" featuring an original score by one of the music industry's leading songwriting teams a?" will take place at Ripley Grier, 305 W. 38th Street, on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18.
