Roger Ricker to Bring 'Star Power' to Media Theatre, 8/14

The Media Theatre's Roger Ricker has his annual fundraiser Wednesday night August 14. Each summer for the past eight years Ricker has held a concert to raise funds for the theatre's youth programs. This year's concert, "Star Power", will feature several special guests and members of the theatre's youth ensemble as they come together to celebrate with enthusiasm and a great message.

Monty Python's 'Spamalot' musical is headed into a tree. No, not a tree--A theatre! The Media Theatre, actually. Yes, all of the creative minds at Delaware County's only professional music theatre are plotting and planning right now to bring you perhaps the funniest Broadway musical of all time. 'Spamalot' is just what it sounds like--a conglomeration of a parody of 'Camelot' (King Arthur's tale) and a live musical based on 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', the classic cinematic comic masterpiece.

Dr. Dolittle will be talking to the animals at The Media Theatre over the holidays as he brings in the New Year at The Media Theatre. The Philadelphia region's first professional production of the Leslie Bricusse two act musical based on the classic 1968 Rex Harrison film and the stories of Hugh Lofting will play tonight, November 20 to January 27.

Onstage, her role as Motormouth Maybelle assists in bringing integration to Baltimore and offstage she is the creator of a theatre piece, 'The Voices Project', that serves as a platform for dropout prevention to shine a light on the dire need for sustainable programs for individuals who self select to leave or are pushed out of school.
