Broadway is going to strip down! Producers Channing Tatum, Steven Soderbergh, Gregory Jacobs, Nick Wechsler, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan announced today thatMagic Mike The Musical will premiere at Boston's newly refurbished Emerson Colonial Theatre this fall prior to a Broadway engagement.

The CW drama series Riverdale is set to air the season three musical episode this Wednesday, according to TVLine. The episode will feature a staging of Heathers: The Musical, based on the 1989 cult hit film starring Wynona Ryder and Christian Slater.

Exit 63 Theatre has announced the cast and design team for the first production in its 2019 season, the Chicago premiere of DARK MATTERS by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) directed by Associate Artistic Director Nora Lise Ulrey.

Ray of Light Theatre, San Francisco's non-profit musical theatre company, today announced its 2019 season of musicals featuring the satirical thriller American Psycho, the awe-inspiring Caroline, or Change and a new interpretation of the annual Halloween favorite, The Rocky Horror Show. This season of politically and socially relevant musicals follows a critically-acclaimed 2018 season that included the all-female production of Jesus Christ Superstar and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

On the heels of “A Midwinter's Tale” episode, the witches, warlocks, mortals and familiars of Greendale received an early Winter Solstice gift as Netflix has ordered 16 more episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which will air in two parts (parts 3 & 4).

CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA Part 2 Launches Globally April 5 Only on Netflix

The producers of the bold new stage production of AMERICAN PSYCHO - THE MUSICAL have announced that the iconic role of Patrick Bateman will be played by stage and screen star Ben Gerrard. The musical of American Psycho, based on the thriller novel by Bret Easton Ellis which also inspired the 2000 film starring Christian Bale, will have its Australian Premiere at the Hayes Theatre Co from 10 May 2019.

Stan Lee, the legendary comic book writer, editor, actor, producer and publisher, has passed away at the age of 95.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, while Channing Tatum's Magic Mike Live has already taken over Las Vegas and London, a musicalized version of the show is taking more steps towards Broadway. The musical, from creative team Tom Kitt, Brian Yorkey and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, recently wrapped a workshop in LA.

The play follows the character of Abigail Williams, from Arthur Miller's The Crucible, ten years after the events of the Salem Witch Trials.

FringeNYC, the adjudicated portion of the new NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL FRINGE FESTIVAL, begins performances tomorrow, October 12, 2018.
