Recording Academy® President/CEO Deborah Dugan alongside Academy Chair of the Board of Trustees and renowned record producer Harvey Mason Jr., as well as GRAMMY Awards® host Alicia Keys and past two-time GRAMMY® nominee Bebe Rexha, today revealed nominees for the 62nd GRAMMY Awards in select categories. This year's nominees reflect a melting pot of artistic innovation that defined the year in music, showcasing the unparalleled craftsmanship of established artists and the industry-shifting impact of rising music creators. Leading nominees Lizzo (8), Billie Eilish (6) and Lil Nas X (6) not only topped the charts but ignited a cultural conversation around their genre-bending hits. As the only peer-selected music award, the GRAMMY Awards are voted on by the Recoding Academy's membership body of music makers, who represent all genres and creative disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers and engineers.

The 2019 - 2020 season of the Carlsen Center Presents Series continues with Winterlude - Ensemble Ibérica Siento y Vivo (I Feel and Live), on Sunday, December 8, 7 p.m. in Polsky Theatre. 

The Allman Betts Band has officially announced the full artist lineup for the third annual Allman Family Revival.

Today, G. Love released the title track off his new Keb' Mo'-produced album The Juice, which releases on January 17 via Philadelphonic/Thirty Tigers. Written by Keb' Mo' and G. Love, and also featuring rising star Marcus King, “The Juice” is a hopeful protest song that acts as a rallying cry for those who are fighting for equality. Along with the new track, G. Love has also released an animated video with characters depicting both himself and King, which was featured this morning via American Blues Scene.

NYC-based alt-rock trio Upright Man is unveiling a new single off their forthcoming EP, due out in 2020. The track and video for the single 'Hifidelic' premiered this week on Popmatters and is now streaming.

Eclectic blues/hip-hop artist G. Love has announced the January 17 release of The Juice via Philadelphonic/Thirty Tigers, and a 2020 tour in support. Co-produced and co-written with four time Grammy award-winner Keb' Mo', The Juice is an electrifying album that features a slew of special guests including Robert Randolph, Marcus King and Roosevelt Collier. Along with the announcement today, Rolling Stone Country has premiered the album's debut track 'Go Crazy' featuring Keb' Mo' during '...one of his most prolific periods to date.'

Today, Monotronic release their self-titled debut album. 'Our goal was to try to distill our more exploratory and improvisational live sound into something more accessible to mainstream listeners, who are typically streaming 3-4 minute tracks,' elaborates bandleader Ramsey Elkholy. 'With the help of Pensado and Calbi, the final product exceeded all our expectations.' 

WFUV, New York (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) It's Bruce Springsteen's 70th birthday on Monday, September 23, and 90.7 WFUV in New York is celebrating this local hero in a significant and heartfelt way.   That evening, from 9-10 p.m. EDT, WFUV will premiere its original program, The Bruce Project, a one-hour special of live covers of Springsteen's songs by artists who consider him an influence and inspiration. The starry lineup of performers includes The Head and the Heart, the Amy Ray Band, The Hold Steady's Craig Finn, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Robert Randolph & the Family Band. All performances were recorded at FUV's Studio A at Fordham University in the Bronx.  

The Allman Family Revival will be returning for its third year in celebration of Gregg Allman's birthday, This year the show is expanding to 3 nation-wide performances. San Francisco at The Fillmore, Denver at the brand-new Mission Ballroom and NYC at The Beacon.

Patrick Davis & His Midnight Choir will play the Peace Center on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at 7 p.m.

NPR Music, in partnership with the nationally-syndicated World Cafe daily music program produced by WXPN/Philadelphia, WMOT Roots Radio, and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), will co-produce the AmericanaFest Day Stage as part of the 20th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference (AmericanaFest) taking place September 10-15 in Nashville.

Asbury Park-based indie-rocker Rachel Ana Dobken has premiered the music video for her single, “Always,” via Atwood Magazine. The single is the second from her album, When It Happens To You, which Dobken self-produced and released in 2018. The video finds Dobken showcasing her musical talents as she hops between guitar and drums in a vintage roller rink. She shared the making of her new video and how it represents “Always” with Atwood.

Two-time GRAMMY-nominated blues-rock sensation Joe Bonamassa today announces U.S. tour dates for spring 2020, as he gears up for his summer tour embarking on major venues across the East Coast and Midwest in North America. For the newly announced dates next year, Bonamassa leaves no fans behind, making stops through the South and Midwest with performances scheduled for multiple cities in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Idaho and Washington. Today, The Allman Betts Band released their highly anticipated debut album Down To The River (BMG).  The Allman Betts Band recorded their debut album November of 2018 in Muscle Shoals, AL at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and produced by Grammy Award winning Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine and Elvis Presley). 

Coming off the heels of their outstanding performance at California Roots Music and Arts Festival, ROOTS OF A REBELLION is keeping the good vibes going with the release of their new album Shapes Of A Soul, out today May 31. They're also celebrating while out on the road, currently touring alongside Through The Roots (see dates below).
