Dallas Theater Center Announces ELECTRA A One-of-a-Kind Outdoor Theater Experience

 Dallas Theater Center announced today complete details for Electra beginning on April 4 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and running through May 21 in the outdoor venue of the Annette Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Dallas Theater Center announced today that Hamilton: An American Musical stars Sydney James Harcourt and Elizabeth Judd will headline Centerstage 2017: Revolution and Revelry on Saturday, May 6. Chaired by Mickie and Jeff Bragalone, with Honorary Chairs Linda and Bill Custard, Centerstage 2017 will take place at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre, which will be transformed for the evening.

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) is pleased to announce involvement in the Theatre Forward Staging Success Initiative supported by AT&T. DTC's nationally recognized educational program, Project Discovery, will be one of four programs across the country to be measured and evaluated as part of this initiative to study the impact of theatre education on school engagement and participation. The Staging Success study, benefiting almost entirely Title 1 students, spans a two-year time period, tracking participation, school engagement and students' beliefs and attitudes over time with exposure to 21st century skills.

The Painted Clock, a new volume, is forthcoming. Bluestone has won The Greensboro Review Poetry Prize, The Thomas Merton Prize, and second prize in the Robert Penn Warren Competition, as well as other awards. Work has appeared in Poetry, The Sewanee Review, Boston Review, and many other journals. Noel David Cohen is a writer, editor, and proofreader living in Brooklyn. His interests include art, photography, reading, travel, jogging, and experiencing life and the world. He has been a newspaper reporter, trade magazine editor, and writer/editor/proofreader for the New York Law Publishing Company (currently American Lawyer Media). He has published poems and articles in various newspapers, magazines, and chapbooks. His first chapbook, Signs of Life, includes his best work. Jack Tricarico is a painter and poet who also teaches tai chi and lives in the East Village.
