The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey rings in the holiday season with a timeless production of A Child's Christmas in Wales, based on the classic story by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas and adapted for the stage by Jeremy Brooks and Adrian Mitchell. The festive show is being revived for the first time since it last appeared on the STNJ stage in 2003, featuring Greg Jackson in the role of Dylan Thomas. Performances begin November 30 and run through January 1 at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue in Madison. Tickets to this musical celebration can be purchased by calling the Box Office 973-408-5600 or online at ShakespeareNJ.org.

The Michigan Premiere of native Michigander Richard Strand's comedy about mothers and daughters, The Realization of Emily Linder, will have its Champagne Celebration on the Opening Night of the 60th 'Diamond' Anniversary season of the Detroit Repertory Theatre on Thursday, November 03, 2016 at 8:30 PM. The compelling and entertaining Civil War comedic-drama 'Butler' is now onstage at 59E59 Theatre through August 28th. This superb play is written by Richard Stand, directed by Joseph Discher and presented by New Jersey Repertory Company.

If Major General Benjamin Franklin Butler hadn't been a lawyer, he might have tried his hand at psychotherapy, particularly talk therapy. His hyper-focus on word choice and the meaning behind said choices is the first impression we get of this Civil War leader in BUTLER, now playing through April 17 at Northlight Theatre in Skokie.

Florida Studio Theatre hosts a special Pay What You Can Night of the Mainstage hit, Butler by Richard Strand. The performance will be held on February 27 at 8pm in the Keating Theatre.

?Peninsula Players Theatre will present a reading of "The Who & The What" by Ayad Akhtar, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, at Bjorklunden at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor at 7p.m., Monday, February 1.  This play reading is produced with support from and in conjunction with Door County Reads and its exploration of Akhtar's novel "American Dervish."  Join the Players reading of a fierce and funny new play about family, faith and what happens when the two disagree.  Admission is free.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, launches its 41st Season tonight, January 22.

The Michigan Premiere production of BUTLER by native Michiganian Richard Strand will be Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 8:30pm at the Detroit Repertory Theatre. As is tradition on Opening Nights at the Detroit Repertory Theatre, a Champagne Afterglow will be held in the Lobby Gallery following the performance with the cast and crew of the production.   

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Regional Premiere of Butler opening January 7, 2016 on the Frank and Katrina Basile Stage. This production runs through February 7, with Dale McFadden serving as director.
