The British Independent Film Awards is delighted to announce today that Dame Judi Dench will be this year's recipient of the Richard Harris Award for outstanding contribution by an actor to British film, in recognition of her distinguished career in the UK and advocacy of the British film industry across the globe. The award will be presented to her at the 2018 awards ceremony to be held at Old Billingsgate Market on Sunday 2nd December.

Add another award to her long list! According to Variety, Judi Dench will be honored with the Richard Harris Award for outstanding contribution to British film at the upcoming British International Film Awards.

Last seen in 1984 as BBC's Play for Today, Dog Ends establishes a scenario familiar to many; George is growing weary of looking after his frail elderly father and his beloved dog. Set in an ordinary home, the play looks at a social impact of an ageing population and the possible solutions that may be attempted to alleviate this pressure on the NHS and society.
