The National Theatre has announced the full cast for The House of Bernarda Alba, in a co-production with Playful Productions.

As the National Theatre prepares to mark 60 years of entertaining and inspiring audiences around the world on 22 October, a birthday present of 3,600 free tickets, 60 tickets for 60 performances in October, will be available for 16–25-year-olds to book for productions on the South Bank and in the West End. Jake Shears has shared two new remixes of track “I Used To Be In Love” from YAME and Le Chev. The polymathic Scissor Sisters’ front-man also recently confirmed details of his West End debut, having joined the cast of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club alongside Self Esteem (aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor) from September 2023.

El Haq Latief, Indonesian non-binary actor and performer, will join the cast of Playhouse Theater’s acclaimed production of Cabaret starting this September. It will be their seminal performance after graduating from Royal Academy of Music’s (RAM) Musical Theater program.

The producers of the multi award-winning, critically acclaimed production of CABARET at the KIT KAT CLUB has announced that from Monday 25 September 2023, the roles of The Emcee and Sally Bowles will be played by music icons Jake Shears and Rebecca Lucy Taylor AKA Self Esteem.

Tonight's performance of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club has been cancelled due to 'an ongoing police situation taking place nearby'.

Last night CABARET at the Kit Kat Club welcomed Kate Hudson, Billie Piper, Leslie Mann, Emma Corrin and more to a gala performance celebrating Maude Apatow as the new ‘Sally Bowles’ and Mason Alexander Park as the new ‘Emcee’.

It can be a daunted thing to bring Shakespeare’s work to life – it’s something that is so familiar to the public that it can sometimes feel tired and overdone. And yet Rebecca Frecknall’s production of Romeo and Juliet at the Almeida is a wonderful retelling of a Shakespearean classic.  

The National Theatre has announced twelve new productions including a new play by Tim Price and Dear Octopus by Dodie Smith. Olivier Award-winner Rebecca Frecknall will make her National Theatre directorial debut with Federico García Lorca’s modern masterpiece, The House of Bernarda Alba, starring Harriet Walter.
