It's been a long two years since Covid-19 shut down the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts (PCC), but the city's highly-lauded music arts institution will celebrate its official grand reopening on Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m. with a concert featuring school alum and Germantown native Jonathan Blake and his new band Pentad.

The Birdland Jazz Club and Theater has released their programming from March 28th through April 10th. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include Emmet’s Place: Emmet Cohen Trio Featuring Special Guests, Ed Neumeister’s Assembláge Jazz Orchestra, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, and John Minnock with Dave Liebman.

The Carr Center, the legacy Black arts presenter located in the heart of Detroit's downtown cultural district, is set to celebrate April as Jazz Appreciation Month with a unique live concert event. Seattle Jazz collective High Pulp are sharing “Kamishinjo” today, a new track featuring Jacob Mann on keyboards. Later this week High Pulp will begin a run of West coast tour dates that will reach Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles in more. Then in April the band will hit the road with Jared Mattson of the Mattson 2 for over month of shows.

Birdland Jazz Club is thrilled to announce a new partnership that will provide streaming access to a selection of its renowned live acts. The famed jazz club is teaming up with Flymachine, a pioneering virtual venue for live entertainment. Through this exciting collaboration, streaming services will be available for mainstage events at Birdland Jazz Club every Thursday at 9:30, as well as Frank Vignola's weekly guitar night on Wednesdays, downstairs in the Birdland Theater.

DACAMERA, a Houston-based presenter of chamber music and jazz concerts, announces vibraphonist Joel Ross on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center. Joined by harpist Brandee Younger, Ross and his band Good Vibes will perform an assortment of songs from his two Blue Note recordings Kingmaker and Who Are You? Ross is one of the standout artists in the recent resurgence of groundbreaking jazz musicians coming out of Chicago. In 2019, Ross released his Blue Note debut KingMaker to universal critical acclaim and topped the DownBeat Critics Poll Rising Star category for vibraphone.
