BROADWAY'S BABIES SPRING BENEFIT CONCERT Returns On March 25, 2019

In support of bringing arts education to underprivileged children in NYC and around the world, over 30 of Broadway's finest performers are donating their time and talents to the Broadway's Babies 2019 Spring Fundraising Concert on Monday March 25 at (le) Poisson Rouge, NYC. Hosted by the incomparable Natalie Joy Johnson (Kinky Boots), and produced by co-founders, Kate Pfaffl (War Horse), and Ben Houghton, the evening celebrates diversity and community through song, dance and the profound stories of the children they serve.

92Y announces Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish: Conversation and Performances on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:30 pm. Oscar and Tony-winner Joel Grey who directed this new critically acclaimed production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish is joined on stage by Broadway veteran Steven Skybell (Tevye), Emmy-nominated actress Jackie Hoffman (Yente), and Jennifer Babiak (Golde) for a celebratory talk and performance of songs from the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish now playing at Stage 42 on New York City's 42nd Street through September 1.

The word 'meshugge' seemed to really pop out for the audience, receiving a big laugh when uttered by Tevye the night this reviewer thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully acted and sung National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's production of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein's classic 1964 musical based on the stories of Sholem Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof.

Producers Hal Luftig and Jana Robbins in association with Sandy Block announced that the critically-acclaimed National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish begins previews on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Stage 42 (422 W 42nd St.). The production will open officially on Thursday, February 21, 2019 and will play a limited engagement through June 30, 2019.

Put together two super actor/singers to perform The Songs Of Kander & Ebb and it's like Mantle and Maris hitting back to back homers in the world series. Oops, I promised myself I would avoid the Baseball references, however watching Haley Swindal you cannot help but wonder how this enormously talented lady became such an exciting entertainer coming from a sports/business family. Then again, George Steinbrenner did create exciting entertainment for millions with the Yankee franchise and he was also an avid fan and investor in Broadway shows.
