Normally presented at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway, Arts for Autism is going virtual this April as part of World Autism Month. On Monday, April 12th at 7:30pm, Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara will be lighting up the Arts for Autism Virtual 2021 show with her soaring voice once again.

The folks at Broadway Workshop were gracious enough to invite me back to another “Broadway Day”. This time, it was a little different from sugar, butter, and dancing to a Sara Bareilles lyrical and melodic masterpiece. The bar was already set high from my experience at their WAITRESS Day; I wondered whether my expectations would be met a second time.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway cast twice monthly. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.

Broadway vets Rachel Potter (Evita, The Addams Family), and Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu, The Secret Garden,) have teamed up to present a weekly digital cabaret series called Quarantine Cabaret.  The two best friends have joined forces to appear in concert online, and each weekly show features a new lineup of guests. 

Sometimes, I worry when seeing LES MISERABLES yet another time that it won't ignite the same spark within me. And yet, without fail, this musical reminds me not just why I love theatre, but also of so many truths about humanity. It's a multi-layered story, difficult to simmer down to a concise summary.
