Abingdon Theatre Company has announced details for their upcoming 30th Season, including one Off-Broadway premiere, a new season of Around The Table Readings, the return of their downtown cabaret series Broadway on the Bowery, and a new season of ATC's popular One Night Only series.

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, opens its 2022–2023 season with The Garbologists, written by Lindsay Joelle, directed by Cody Estle, featuring Tiffany Renee Johnson and Luigi Sottile.

Abingdon Theatre Company has announced two new Artists in Residence for their upcoming 30th Season beginning in the fall. Reynaldo Piniella and Pierre Marais are set to be the next participants in the Carolyn Halpert Artist in Residence Program, which began in 2017.

Due to popular demand, Raven Theatre’s Chicago premiere of The Luckiest has added one additional week of performances, extending through Sunday, June 26, 2022 on Raven’s 85-seat East Stage, 6157 N. Clark St. (at Granville) in Chicago.

Raven Theatre has announced its 40th Anniversary Season, kicking off this fall with a fresh take on Noël Coward’s iconic 1930 comedy Private Lives, directed by Ian Frank.

Vital Theatre Company has announced the acquisition of the rights to the new children's picture book 'Myra and the Drawing Drama', written by Rosemary Rivera and illustrated by Mario Menjivar, for the creation a new family musical with Book and Lyrics by Jeremy Dobrish and Music and Lyrics by David Mallamud which will debut in Vital Theatre Company's 2022-2023 Season.

Abingdon Theatre Company has released photos from their Broadway on the Bowery event, the music of It Happened In Key West on March 7th. Artistic Director, Chad Austin directed the evening at Duane Park, with music direction by Nick Wilders.

With the upcoming first anniversary of the Beirut explosion on August 4th, 2020, Abingdon Theatre Company is shedding light on the art that has been created as a result of this tragedy. It Cries Too Loudly explores the overlap between joy and tragedy in her tumultuous home country and the experience of being an emigre.

Victory Gardens Theater will welcome Marisa Carr, Keelay Gipson, Isaac Gómez and Stacey Rose as the new members of the Victory Gardens Playwrights Ensemble. The Ensemble will be members for a three-year term, through 2024.

Abingdon Theatre Company will present a short film of 'Empress Mei Li Lotus Blossom' written and directed by Christine Toy Johnson followed by a talk back with the writer and cast, moderated by Reggie Lee on May 25th at 7pm ET. This event is free. This piece is being screened in May to Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Abingdon Theatre Company (Chad Austin, Artistic Director) will present a virtual reading of The Inferno, a new play by Chris Sherman on April 5th at 7pm ET via their YouTube channel.

Cleveland Play House plays matchmaker with the next installment of Theatre Thursday: The Art of Connection on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 7:00 pm. Sometimes I feel it's a daunting task knowing I'm about to see a show that has a cast of two people (that fear is even larger when it's a one person show!) and it could be a show I love or one I'm not familiar as was the case with The Gentleman Caller a?" the current production running until March 1st at the Slipstream Theatre Initiative. Yes, everyone in the theatre industry a?oeknowsa?? Tennessee Williams, but other than that piece of information and the fact that I knew the Slipstream Theatre Initiative always puts on innovative and thoughtful pieces of theatre, I had no idea what I was in for. Luckily, I had nothing to fear as there was never a dull moment during the entire show!
