The Cleveland Opera has fallen on hard times and the only person who can saver it is Tito Merelli, or El Stupendo as he is known. Tito (Magnificently portrayed by Jamie Michael Parnell) has been hired to perform as the lead I Giuseppe Verdi's opera, Otello. The issue initially is that Tito has failed to arrive at the allotted time, sending the General manager of the opera into a panic.

Hunterdon Hills Playhouse is decked out for the season as they present their 2018 holiday show, 'Christmas in the Air.' As patrons arrive at the Playhouse, they will notice the festive decorations adorning the dinner theatre both inside and out, including a 25 foot Christmas tree and a freshly baked gingerbread village. After a delicious table served meal, which includes an all you can eat dessert buffet, the professional cast takes the stage and the spirited show begins.

Fountain Hills Theater has wrapped up its 29th Season with a summertime delight ~ LEND ME A TENOR, THE MUSICAL ~ proving definitively that cool community theater is the best antidote for Arizona's triple digit heat. The musical adaptation by Peter Sham (book and lyrics) and Brad Carroll (music) of Ken Ludwig's 1989 Tony-nominated comedy is a madcap affair of love and empowerment that, under the clever and crafty direction of Peter J. Hill and with an exceptionally engaging cast, left me laughing and inspired.
2015 Stage Rights/NYMF Publishing Award Winner Announced

Stage Rights announced this week that Acappella is the recipient of the 2015 Stage Rights/NYMF Publishing Award. Roger Bean, President and Founder of Stage Rights, presented the award to book writer Vynnie Meli, who accepted on behalf of the entire Acappella team. Stage Rights and The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) created the publishing award in 2013, and it is presented annually to one or more of the musicals taking part in the festival. Performance rights for Acappella will be available through Stage Rights in spring 2016.

THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, directed by Utah Shakespeare Festival Founder Fred C. Adams, is a huge hit, which has prompted the Festival to add two matinee performances of this hilarious battle of the sexes.
