San Francisco Ballet, long recognized for pushing boundaries in dance, has announced its 2017-18 Season program and schedule. This summer, SF Ballet will return to Festival Napa Valley for one performance only on Friday, July 21, 2017, accompanied by members of the SF Ballet Orchestra. In addition, this October, the Company will once again participate in World Ballet Day LIVE, a day-long streaming event (details to be announced).

Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, today announced the 2017/18 season featuring the world premiere of Frame by Frame, a multidisciplinary production created by renowned theatre artist Robert Lepage and choreographic associate Guillaume Cote, based on the work of Canadian filmmaker Norman McLaren.

Highlights of Festival 2015 include Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host, a special dance and radio stage production starring Ira Glass, host of This American Life; the return of Nederlands Dans Theater 2; the world premiere of American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Daniil Simkin's INTENSIO; Cuban contemporary ensemble Malpaso Dance Company, performing with GRAMMY Award-winning pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble; and the launch of Martha Graham Dance Company's 90th Anniversary, including a world premiere by eminent choreographer Mats Ek.

From first rehearsal to world premiere, BALLET 422 takes us backstage at New York City Ballet as Justin Peck, a young up-and-coming choreographer, crafts a new work. BALLET 422 illuminates the process behind the creation of a single ballet within the ongoing cycle of work at one of the world's great ballet companies.

The New York City Ballet presents a World Premiere by NYCB Soloist and Resident Choreographer Justin Peck, which will premiere as part of the Company's annual New Combinations Evening on Wednesday, February 4. Set to Aaron Copland's symphonic score, Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo, the work will feature costumes co-designed by Reid Bartelme, Harriet Jung, and Peck with lighting by Brandon Stirling Baker.

New York City Ballet will open its 2015 Winter season on Tuesday, January 20, with a week of ballets by the Company's co-founding choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, and current Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins. Included are two all-Balanchine programs -- one consisting of Serenade, Agon, and Symphony in C; and one consisting of Donizetti Variations, La Valse, and Chaconne. Peter Martins, Ballet Master in Chief of New York City Ballet, announced today that choreographer and NYCB Soloist Justin Peck has been named the Company's Resident Choreographer, effective immediately. In this new capacity Peck will create two world premiere ballets for NYCB each year, in addition to continuing to dance with the Company. Peck will become only the second person to hold the title Resident Choreographer at NYCB; the first was Christopher Wheeldon, who had the position from 2001 to 2008.
