Roundabout Theatre Company will soon present the world premiere of Bernhardt/Hamlet by Pulitzer finalist Theresa Rebeck, directed by Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel, and starring Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe, Tony & Olivier Award winner Janet McTeer as 'Sarah Bernhardt.' The play will begin preview performances on September 1, 2018 and opens officially on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. This is a limited engagement through November 18, 2018 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway.

Florida Repertory Theatre has announced famed stage and screen actor, Paxton Whitehead, will join the cast of 'How the Other Half Loves' by Alan Ayckbourn, running in the Historic Arcade Theatre January 9-31, 2018.

The event, which honors the work of the state's professional theaters, was held at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts June 26. Three-time Tony Award-nominee Terrence Mann was master of ceremonies.

TheaterWork's production of the musical "Next to Normal" led the nominations for the 27th annual Connecticut Critics Circle Awards event to be held Monday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart University's Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield.

The Tony Award-nominated comedy, 'Lettice and Lovage,' opens Westport Country Playhouse's 87th Season, written by Peter Shaffer, author of 'Amadeus,' and directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. Westport Country Playhouse announces that Kandis Chappell has joined the cast of "Lettice and Lovage" in the role of Miss Lettice Douffet, beginning Thursday, June 1.  Due to a health issue, the original actress playing Lettice had to leave the role during final rehearsals.  She is doing well and wished a speedy recovery.

Alan Pally, an authority on Tony and Academy Award-winning British playwright Peter Shaffer ("Amadeus," "Equus"), will be guest speaker at the Playhouse's Sunday Symposium following the Sunday, June 4, 3 p.m. matinee performance of Shaffer's comedy "Lettice and Lovage." 

Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continued its 12th Season with its 123rd concert presentation, Shaw's two one-act comedies Press Cuttings and Dark Lady of the Sonnets, last night, May 22, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).
