When the award-winning actress and playwright, Jodi Long, took her first steps on the Broadway stage in Sidney Lumet's production of “Nowhere to Go But Up,” she was entering a professional world that ran through her family's bloodline. Her Vaudevillian parents had long trod the boards – in fact, as part of a popular song and dance act, they even appeared on the Ed Sullivan show in the 1950s.
BBPAC Presents Premiere Production of EXPOSED by Beth Henley

Black Box PAC's 2022 Save Our Stages season continues with the world premiere production of EXPOSED, a new play by Beth Henley. The show runs at The Black Box Performing Arts Center - 49 East Palisade Avenue in Englewood, NJ - from Saturday May 7 to Saturday May 28.
Honorees Announced for the 2022 Final Draft Awards

Guillermo del Toro (“Nightmare Alley”) will be presented with the Final Draft® Hall of Fame Award. The inaugural Final Draft Trailblazer Award will go to Academy Award® winning filmmaker Jane Campion (“The Power of the Dog”). Nicole Holofcener and Danny Strong will receive the Storyteller Award for film and TV respectively.
Cedric The Entertainer to Play Kings Theatre

Cedric currently stars in and executive produces the CBS comedies “The Neighborhood,” which was just renewed for a third season and “The Greatest #AtHome Videos” executive produced through his production company A Bird And A Bear Entertainment. Cedric also co-stars in the hit TBS comedy “The Last O.G.”, opposite Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish.
31st Annual Gotham Awards Nominations Announced

The seventh annual Justice Film Festival returns to the Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, Loreto Theater, Wednesday, November 13 through Saturday, November 16, 2019. The Justice Film Festival inspires justice seekers by showcasing films of exceptional courage and stories of redemption that are as diverse in the issues they explore as they are in geography. As always, this year's event will include feature documentaries and shorts from both well-known and emerging filmmakers, all of whom are using the medium of film to shine a light on culturally relevant social justice issues. Many of the screenings will be followed by talkbacks with the filmmakers, offering a deeper dive on the wide-ranging topics explored onscreen. Purchase a $40 Festival Pass or $15 individual screenings tickets at SheenCenter.org/Justice, by phone at 212-925-2812, or in-person at The Sheen Center box office Monday to Friday Noon to 5PM.
