TexARTS closes its record-breaking box office season with the Tony Award-nominated and Grammy Award-winning musical Smokey Joe's Cafe. This tribute to legendary songwriters Leiber and Stoller is a dazzling, song-and-dance celebration featuring 40 of rock 'n' roll's greatest hits, including 'Hound Dog,' 'Stand by Me,' 'Yakety Yak,' 'Jailhouse Rock,' 'Spanish Harlem,' 'On Broadway,' 'Kansas City,' 'Love Potion #9,' and 'Fools Fall in Love.' Smokey Joe's Caf plays on stage February 15 March 4 at the Kam & James Morris Theatre in Lakeway.

Who doesn't know the story of Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol'? The story is drummed into our heads every holiday season from the moment we're able to process speech. The story has been adapted a staggering number of times for film, stage, opera, and other media. 'A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost-Story of Christmas', is most commonly known simply as 'A Christmas Carol' and was first published in 1843 with that first edition selling out by Christmas Eve. Remarkably, it has never been out of print and by the end of the first year, thirteen editions had been released. It has been translated into several languages. It tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge (Harvey Guion), an old miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley (Roderick Sanford) and the Ghosts of Christmas Past (Kenny Williams), Present (Chanel), and Yet to Come (Roderick Sanford). Their visits transform Scrooge into a kinder and gentler man.

On Monday, December 11 at 7:30PM, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture presents two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris (Fun Home, Assassins, The Who's Tommy) and Loose Cattle in 'Seasonal Affective Disorder,' a live concert celebrating the release of their holiday LP of the same name.

Premiering on Broadway in 2008, this depiction of the flavorful New York City neighborhood at the top of Manhattan paints a vivid and delightful portrait of the struggles and celebrations of everyday Americans. IN THE HEIGHTS is an exciting capstone to Lyric's wildly successful summer season…don't miss it!

Cape Rep Theatre presents Summer Starlight, an evening to remember, Sunday, August 6, with guest of honor, Tony Award winning theatre, film and television actor, Michael Cerveris. A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens, adapted and directed by Dave Steakley, currently playing at ZACH Theatre, has become an Austin tradition and is by far the best way to kick off the holiday season. Retooled to include new contemporary songs every year, the musical is performed by a Broadway caliber cast. The Dickens' classic has never been more entertaining, and with the addition of GREATER TUNA star Jaston Williams as Scrooge, this year is an extra special treat with a cherry on top.

Two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris and singing partner Kimberly Kaye, along with their band Loose Cattle, have recorded a country version of "Pony Girl," the original song written by FUN HOME Tony Award-winners Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron for the musical. Cerveris has created his own arrangement of the song, which was cut during early workshops of Fun Home, turning the tune into a waltzing cowboy lullaby. The single, mastered for iTunes, is now available for pre-sale, and will receive an official release on November 23, 2015 at most online retailers. Cerveris and Loose Cattle will celebrate "Pony Girl" with a release party and concert at Hill Country Barbecue (1123 Broadway) on Monday, November 23 at 8:00PM.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic seven-time Tony Award-winning rock opera tells the story of Argentine political leader, Eva Peron, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Peron. We follow Evita's early life, rise to power, charity work, illness and death by cancer at the youthful age of 33. The musical began as a rock opera concept album released in 1976, and it was the first British musical to receive the Tony Award for Best Musical.
