Celebrate 15 years of intercultural theatre grants as the Cole Foundation awards $171,000 in funding for diverse and inclusive theatrical stories in Montreal.

What did our critic think of REDBONE COONHOUND at Tarragon Theatre? That's the hotly debated question in Amy Lee Lavoie and Omari Newton's new play at Tarragon Theatre, co-produced with Montreal's Imago Theatre. In REDBONE COONHOUND, interracial couple Mike and Marissa (Christopher Allen and Chala Hunter) find the delicate power balance that comes from living in the world with vastly different experiences can be upset by a small incident that carries the weight of history.

The finalists for the 2022 Siminovitch Prize are: Marie Brassard (Montreal, QC),  Ravi Jain (Toronto, ON), Ann-Marie Kerr (Halifax, NS), and Sherry J. Yoon (Gibsons, BC).

The Cole Foundation's Intercultural Conversations-Conversations Interculturelles (IC-CI) program has been an immense support for local theatre companies throughout the shifting protocols of the pandemic.
