Young Jean Lee 'Spends Christmas Alone' with FUTURE WIFE

Playwright Young Jean Lee is earning attention for her new song, 'I'll Be Spending Christmas Alone,' which was recorded with frequent collaborators Future Wife. Lee plans to bring this song and many moore to a new one-woman show at Joe's Pub sometime in spring of 2011. Some lyrics from the new song are below:

Yara Arts Group will end its run of 'Scythian Stones,' an original, experimental World Music Theater piece with choreography, at La MaMa E.T.C. May 2. The work, created by Virlana Tkacz, features famed Ukrainian singer Nina Matvienko, her daughter Tonia and artists from Kyrgyzstan.

Yara Arts Group will summon ancient epics and rituals from Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan for 'Scythian Stones,' an original, experimental World Music Theater piece with choreography, which will presented by La MaMa E.T.C. from April 16 to May 2. The work, created by Virlana Tkacz, features famed Ukrainian singer Nina Matvienko, her daughter Tonia and artists from Kyrgyzstan.

'RAGTIME' Opens At Astoria Performing Arts Center 2/5/09

Astoria Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce the production of RAGTIME, a musical directed by APAC's very own Artistic Director, Tom Wojtunik. Ragtime will play a 3-week limited engagement at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY 11102). Performances begin Thursday, February 5th and continue through Sunday, February 22nd.

A co-production from the OBIE-winning HERE Arts Center and The Juggernaut Theatre Company, OH WHAT WAR will play Wednesday, September 10 - Saturday, October 4 at HERE Arts Center. Conceived and directed by Mallory Catlett, OH WHAT WAR is presented as part of HERE's 2008-09 mainstage season of new multi-disciplinary productions spanning theatre, dance, puppetry and multimedia works. Official Opening is Saturday, September 13 @ 7:30 PM. A fantasy of flagrant disobedience to authority, OH WHAT WAR, is underground entertainment performed by a band of deserters stuck in No Man's Land.
