Record-breaking, six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to New Orleans for Broadway @ NOCCA on March 31, 2017 as a benefit for the The NOCCA Institute.

Record-breaking 6-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald is to return to London's West End in April for four concerts at Leicester Square Theatre, where she completely sold out her shows last year.

Last night, Tony Award-Winner Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple) and Tony Award nomineeJoshua Henry (Shuffle Along, Violet) just starred in a special one-night-only benefit concert version of Jason Robert Brown's seminal musical, The Last Five Years, with the composer himself leading the orchestra.

It just might be the most anticipated concert event of the year; the tickets for Tony Winner Cynthia Erivo and two-time Tony Nominee Joshua Henry's one-night-only performance of The Last Five Years sold out in less than an hour on the first day of the evening's pre-sale. With the concert, which will be performed at Town Hall, only two days away, the entire team is hard at work perfecting the piece before sharing it with the lucky few who nabbed tickets. This afternoon, Jason Robert Brown, the composer of The Last Five Years, took to Facebook to share a sneak peak of one of the orchestra's final rehearsals before the big night. Check it out below!

'Dark Legacy: Bright Lights of Black Broadway' showcases  black composers, lyricists and performers of Broadway and their influence on other composers who wrote for the black experience.

 It was announced today Tony Award-Winner Cynthia Erivo and Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry will star in a special one-night-only benefit concert version of Jason Robert Brown's seminal musical, The Last Five Years, with the composer himself leading the orchestra. Produced by SubCulture and Jason Robert Brown, the evening will take place at Town Hall (123 West 43rd St), and 100% of the proceeds will benefit The Brady Center, the national organization determined to create a safer America by cutting gun deaths in half by 2025.

Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown, MA, has announced that Audra McDonald, the historic six-time Tony-winner and star of Broadway's "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill," "Porgy and Bess," "Ragtime," "Master Class" and TV's "Private Practice," will perform for Broadway @ Town Hall in Provincetown on August 21 for one show only at 8:00 pm, and will also perform for Broadway @ The Performing Arts Center on Martha's Vineyard on August 22 at 8:00 pm for one show only.

As HAMILTON continues its journey as a nationwide phenomenon, the Chicago company is growing, and the Broadway cast has welcomed new changes since their 11 Tony award-winning sweep in June. As BroadwayWorld reported earlier, the Chicago production of HAMILTON has found its Aaron Burr in two-time Tony award nominee Joshua Henry, and the Broadway cast will now feature Mandy Gonzalez and Jonathan Kirkland as Angelica Schuyler and George Washington, respectively.

Two-time Tony Award nominee JOSHUA HENRY will lead the Chicago company of HAMILTON as Aaron Burr, it has been announced by producer Jeffrey Seller. Henry, who made his Broadway debut in IN THE HEIGHTS, received Tony Award nominations for his roles in VIOLET and THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS and just concluded the Broadway run of SHUFFLE ALONG where he created the role of 'Noble Sissle.'

SHUFFLE ALONG will play its final Broadway performance today, July 24, 2016, the day six-time Tony-winning star Audra McDonald was already set to depart the production for a multi-month maternity leave. SHUFFLE ALONG began performances on March 15, 2016 and officially opened on April 28 at the Music Box Theatre. It will have played 38 previews and 100 regular performances by the time it ends. On September 19, 2016, The New York Pops will return to Feinstein's/54 Below in Manhattan, NY, for a cabaret performance starring Tony nominees Montego Glover and Joshua Henry. The night will be an intimate evening of dining and entertainment led by Music Director Steven Reineke as two of Broadway's most talented stars perform some of their favorite tunes.
