The Tricycle Theatre has established a unique reputation for presenting plays that reflect the cultural diversity of its community, in particular by Black, Irish, Jewish, Asian and South African writers, as well as for responding to contemporary issues and events with its ground-breaking 'tribunal plays' and political work.

Nicolas Kent will direct A Walk in the Woods by Lee Blessing, with Steven Crossley (Andrey Botvinnik) and Myriam Cyr (Joan Honeyman) reprising their roles from the Northern Stage, Vermont production.

Nicolas Kent directs the world premiere of Tactical Questioning: Scenes from the Baha Mousa Inquiry, edited by Richard Norton-Taylor. The production, which examines the British Army's handling of detainees in Iraq and the death of Baha Mousa in 2003, will run at the Tricycle Theatre from 2 June until 2 July, with press night on 6 June 2011. Designs are by Polly Sullivan, with lighting by Charlie Hayday and sound and projections by Ed Borgnis.

The Tricycle Theatre is to perform its production The Great Game: Afghanistan for The Pentagon at the Shakespeare Theatre Company's Sidney Harman Hall, for two performances only. The two trilogy days - presented by the Tricycle Theatre, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, British Council and Shakespeare Theatre Company - will be performed to audiences of policy and decision makers, military and government officials, service members, veterans and their families.
