Best Of Broadway To Host 'Select Your Seat' Open House Party At The North Charleston PAC

The North Charleston Performing Arts Center's Best of Broadway series will host its annual "Select Your Seat" open house party on Monday, June 3 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Broadway fans are invited to come out and "select their seats" for the 2019-2020 season. The party features Broadway music, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a wine tasting and backstage tours. Season ticket packages start at just $218.

Last night, WP Theater held its 40th Anniversary Gala honoring game-changing women with the Women of Achievement Awards. The gala honored three-time Tony Award-Winning Producer & Founder of BroadwayHD Bonnie Comley (A Gentleman's Guide, War Horse), Award-Winning actress, activist, and singer-songwriter Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Dear John, Mean Girls), and Grammy Award-winning songwriter and recording artist Emily Warren (The Chainsmokers' 'Don't Let Me Down', Dua Lipa's 'New Rules').
Will Roland Heads Cast Of Benefit Reading Of LOVE LETTERS

Will Roland (Broadway's 'Dear Evan Hansen') will head a cast of four in an innovative reading of 'Love Letters' by A.R. Gurney on December 9 at Feinstein's/54 Below. The reading is organized by Getting Together for Good, a charitable giving circle, to benefit the Ric Swezey Memorial Library, a program of The Family Equality Council, which supports and protects LGBTQ families through education, advocacy, and legal initiatives.

Just last night, The American Theatre Wing celebrated 101 Years of supporting strong and fearless voices in the American Theatre with a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber's unrivaled body of work amassed over five decades. Performers included Tony Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, Tony winner and Grammy Award nominee Heather Headley, Tony winner Katrina Lenk, Tony and Grammy nominee Norm Lewis, Webber muse Sierra Boggess, two-time Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative recipient Sydney Lopes, and a mega-band that includes School of Rock alumni Evie Dolan, Ethan Khusidman, Raghav Mehrotra, and Brandon Niederauer.

The coveted Jimmy Awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor were presented to Renee Rapp, The Blumey Awards (Charlotte, NC) and Andrew Barth Feldman, The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (New York, NY).

The Jimmy Awards have just announced the industry coaches for the tenth annual awards ceremony on Monday, June 25th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre. The six coaches - Lisa Brescia, MaryAnn Hu, Adam Kantor, Howard McGillin, Natalie Weiss, And Schele Williams - will mentor the 80 high school students from across America who will compete for the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress.
