Trey Parker Clarifies: No BOOK OF MORMON Movie For Now

Despite previous speculation, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that they currently have no plans to bring their Tony Award-winning musical to the big screen. Though Parker recently told Entertainment Weekly: 'Hopefully it will have a big run and a big tour and then we can do the movie in several years,' he now clarifies that it is something the pair is only considering for the future. He explains to The Hollywood Reporter: 'We did a stage show and it worked out way better than we ever thought, and we'd like it to be that for a while, you know, without contaminating it with a movie.'

Nikki M. James, Tony winner for her role in THE BOOK OF MORMON, is currently featured on O Magazine's Wow List, where she shared career advice, and how she made it to the Great White Way. On turning down a season at Stratford Shakespeare Festival, James revealed: 'There was no guarantee that another job was going to come, but my family needed me. That's when I realized there are more important things than being on a stage. A year later, I'm a Tony Award winner and my nephew is getting a new kidney!'

Gad will play 'Kenny, a neighbor of the Dunphys who worships the ground that Phil (Ty Burell) walks stumbles on - and he's made all decisions in his life based on what Phil would do.'
