Flushing Town Hall Presents Contemporary Classical Tabla Ensemble Talavya

On Friday, January 25, Flushing Town Hall presents global ambassadors for Indian percussion, the contemporary classical tabla ensemble Talavya. The group seamlessly combines traditional and modern sounds and represents Flushing Town Hall's expansion of its South Asian programs this season.

Some of the greatest musical moments happen only once, in a live setting, and if you're not there to experience them at the time, they're lost to history. But every now and then, a buried treasure is discovered that brings a lost moment back to life and thrills music fans. Such is the case with this recently unearthed live recording of the all-star bluegrass band the Good Old Boys playing at Margarita's Cantina, a Santa Cruz club, in February of 1975.

Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti - announces its 2019 Summer Tour, kicking off on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 st in Mountain View, California at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and returning for two-night stands at iconic venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Wrigley Field (Chicago, Illinois), The Gorge Amphitheatre (George, Washington), and Folsom Field (Boulder, Colorado), as well as a concert at the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium. The Grateful Dead returns to cinemas this summer for its highly anticipated annual event, '8 th Annual Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies.' For the eighth year in a row, a special concert presentation will bring fans together across the country for a unique celebration of the band. This year's concert is a presentation of the July 7, 1989 show from Philadelphia's John F. Kennedy Stadium, and highlights the band's exuberant resurgence, a peak that rivals any that came before it. When this show was recorded, the band included guitarist Jerry Garcia, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Brent Mydland and guitarist Bob Weir. It marks the final concert at that historic venue as the band storms through an epic set on one of the hottest days of the summer. In addition to the concert, which captures every note of the epic show, attendees will also get an inside look at the 2018 Limited Edition Boxed Set.

RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD, the latest musical from MWM Live (Million Dollar Quartet) featuring the music & lyrics of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter, will perform during this year's SXSW Festival on Friday, March 16th - as part of the Relix and Brooklyn Bowl event at The Brooklyn Bowl Family Reunion located at The Scoot Inn - in tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band album Cats Under the Stars. RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD will now conclude its limited engagement at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane) on Sunday, February 18, 2018 (previously announced for March 18). At the time of closing RED ROSES, GREEN GOLD will have played 21 previews and 129 regular performances.

DEAD & COMPANY To Headline 2018 LOCKN' Festival

LOCKN' is excited to announce that Dead & Company will be making a rare festival appearance by headlining the 2018 event. More artists will be announced one at a time daily via the festival's social media beginning tomorrow, February 2 until February 8, when the full lineup will be disclosed in its entirety. LOCKN' is set to take place in Arrington, VA, August 23 - 26, at Infinity Downs, LOCKN's 387-acre property located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
