Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, welcomes new officers and nine new members to its board of directors. Sarah Bellamy, co-artistic director of Penumbra Theatre Company, and Kevin Moriarty, artistic director of Dallas Theater Center, succeed Robert Hupp and Lydia R. Diamond as joint vice presidents. Jonathan Moscone, artistic director of California Shakespeare Theater, succeeds Ralph Bryan as secretary. Diane Rodriguez, associate artistic director of Center Theatre Group, and Tim Jennings, managing director of Children's Theatre Company, remain as president and treasurer, respectively.

California Shakespeare Theater will launch its year-long 40th anniversary celebration in February 2014 with William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in the company's first-ever performance tour to community settings throughout San Francisco and the East Bay. A co-production with San Francisco-based Intersection for the Arts, Twelfth Night will be directed by Michelle Hensley, Artistic Director of Minneapolis-based Ten Thousand Things, one of the country's most highly regarded classics-based theaters.

California Shakespeare Theater has announced a cast change in its production of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Michelle Hensley. Patty Gallagher will play the role of Andrew Aguecheek, replacing Joan Mankin.

California Shakespeare Theater today announced its plans for 40thanniversary season, which includes a play that "changed American theater forever" according to the New York Times in its Broadway premiere; George Bernard Shaw's brilliant anti-romantic comedy, and two wildly inventive Shakespeare productions. The season will feature the return of directors Shana Cooper (Romeo and Juliet, Taming of the Shrew), Patricia McGregor (Spunk, A Winter's Tale), and Aaron Posner (A Midsummer Night's Dream), and choreographer Erika Chong Shuch (The Tempest).

The Triangle Lab will work with Ten Thousand Things Theater (TTT) in spring 2014 to bring TTT's unique model of theater creation, performance, and outreach to Bay Area audiences, including those who have little or no access to the arts. The Triangle Lab, a joint program of California Shakespeare Theater and Intersection for the Arts, seeks to integrate art into community life.

Roche Schulfer, executive director, Goodman Theatre will serve as treasurer and Olga Sanchez, artistic director, Miracle Theatre Group, will serve again as secretary. Lavey will remain on the board as immediate past President.

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced the recipients of the 2010 Sally Ordway Irvine Awards. In addition to the traditional awards for Vision, Commitment, Initiative and Education, a new award was given this year to acknowledge extraordinary efforts to expand access to the arts across Minnesota.
