Brava! for Women in the Arts continues their ambitious 2008-09 'Shout Out Loud' theatrical season with their second world premiere of a local playwright's work. On April 30, Brava will be presenting Molly Rhodes' For All The Babies' Fathers, directed by Jessica Heidt.

In honor of the Tony Award-winning musical opening at PPAC April 21, the Providence Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce the Spring Awakening Ticket Treasure Hunt, beginning Friday, April 17, through Monday, April 20! Vouchers for a free pair of tickets to the Tuesday, April 21, 7P performance of Spring Awakening have been placed at participating locations throughout the area, and you are invited to join the hunt and find them! The Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) has announced a two-week extension of its newest hit play WIG OUT! by Tarrell Alvin McCraney -- author of the acclaimed play, THE BROTHERS SIZE and the first recipient of The Vineyard's Paula Vogel Playwriting Award in 2007 -- now set to play through November 2.

Performances begin tomorrow for the final week to see Signature Theatre Company's world premiere production of EDWARD ALBEE'S OCCUPANT starring Tony® and Academy Award®-winning actress Mercedes Ruehl and two-time Emmy® winner and Tony® nominee Larry Bryggman.

On Wednesday June 11, 2008 the Theatre World Awards for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut performances during the 2007-2008 theatrical season took place. The awards were presented by former Theatre World Award winners, including: Alec Baldwin (Loot, 1986), Griffin Dunne (Search and Destroy, 1992), Alexander Gemignani (Assassins, 2004), Andrea Martin (My Favorite Year, 1993), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, 2007), Rosie Perez (References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, 2001), and B.D. Wong (M. Butterfly, 1988). There were also be performances by former Theatre World Award winners, including: Karen Akers (Nine, 1982), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up, 2005), Carol Lawrence (West Side Story, 1958) and Alice Playten (Henry, Sweet Henry, 1968).

As theater-lovers look forward to the annual TONY Awards ceremony and the conclusion of the 2007-2008 theater season, television's long-running THEATER TALK series presents two original programs to fuel their anticipation.
