French-Algerian Guitar Master Pierre Bensusan Returns to Charlotte on 2020 CD Release Tour (USA)!

Hailing from 50 cities around the world, 15 of the next generation of guitar greats were announced as winners of the seventh annual international Wilson Center Guitar Festival (Guitar Festival) on Saturday, August 17, 2019.

An afternoon of heartfelt, soulful acoustic music.  Windham Hill Records founder Will Ackerman, himself a Grammy Award-winning guitarist, joins three musicians he has produced over the years: Todd Mosby, an acclaimed guitarist and sole performer of the Imrat Guitar; Trevor Gordon Hall, a kalimbatar/guitarist and acoustic guitar phenom; and acoustic guitar maestro Todd Boston.

Described as dazzling by the New York Times, Makana is an internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer, composer and activist who is widely known for lending his musical talent for social change. He has been a TEDx talk presenter, and his guitar playing has been featured on three Grammy-nominated albums, including the soundtrack of the Academy-Award winning film The Descendants.
