Pacific Opera's production of The Cunning Little Vixen will be presented at Sydney Grammar School's brand new state of the art theatre, New Hall on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October 2015. 

St. Dunstan's Theatre Guild of Cranbrook presents Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, written by James Rado and Gerome Ragni, with music by Galt MacDermot. This 1960s musical remains timely and popular because of its commentary on love, peace, and politics. The story focuses on Berger (Gannon Styles, Northville), Claude (Dan Clair, Canton), and Sheila (Bridget Leary, Bloomfield Hills), along with the rest of the 'tribe' as they attempt to reconcile their desire for personal freedom with the traditional expectations put in place by their parents and society. Hair will be a crowd-favorite with hit songs 'Aquarius,' 'Let the Sunshine,' and 'Hair'.

The Cunning Little Vixen is a philosophical reflection on the uneasiness of man's relationship with the natural world and his own nature. Told through the intertwining stories of a beautifully glorious vixen and the Forester who attempts to tame and contain her, the opera is at once playful and charming, sexy and deeply tragic.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Tonight, April 13th, The 24 Hour Company is teaming with the Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the seventh 24 Hour Musicals. A team of more than 100 - including stars from Broadway, film, television, and music - will cast, write, compose, direct, rehearse, tech, and perform four original musicals - all in the obscenely short time between an evening meet-and-greet on Sunday, April 12 and show time tonight, April 13 at 8pm. The event benefits the Exchange's summer program, The Orchard Project, which incubates and accelerates innovative new theatrical work from around the world.
