In advance of today's Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Freeform and Hulu announce the acquisition of three hit films from STXfilms. The two Walt Disney Television entities struck a deal to license STXfilms' “Hustlers” and “The Upside,” each of which generated over $100 million during their North American theatrical run, as well as the STX hit comedy “I Feel Pretty,” which generated over $94 million worldwide. The films will simultaneously debut on Freeform and Hulu.

If you live in the Philippines, you'll now have the chance to see Universal Pictures' film adaptation of the famous stage musical Cats, directed by Tom Hooper (The King's Speech, Les Miserables). The movie arrives in Philippine cinemas on 8 January 2020.

Today, the the full tracklisting for Cats: Highlights From The Motion Picture Soundtrack was announced! The highly-anticipated soundtrack will be released Friday, December 20, alongside the film, which is directed by Oscar®-winning filmmaker Tom Hooper (Les Misérables, The King's Speech), and stars James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson and introduces Royal Ballet principal dancer Francesca Hayward.

In a new interview with Variety, Taylor Swift has revealed she has previously auditioned for CATS director Tom Hooper for the 2012 film adaptation of Les Misérables.

Joining Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians) and Jennifer Lopez (Second Act) will be music star Cardi B in her film debut, Lili Reinhart (Riverdale), Keke Palmer(Scream Queens), Julia Stiles (Silver Linings Playbook) and Oscar-winner Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King). Mette Towley (Cats) and Trace Lysette (Transparent) are in negotiations to join, according to Deadline.
