The League of Young Voters Education Fund (LYVEF) and Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg presented the No Guns Allowed: Disarming Violence in our Community panel at the BET Experience 2013. The panel, which addressed gun violence in America, featured Lion, rapper T.I., Congresswoman Maxine Waters and community thought leaders. The panel was moderated by the LYVEF's Executive Director, Dr. Rob 'Biko' Baker and was inspired by Snoop Lion's 'No Guns Allowed' single from his Reincarnated album. On Friday, December 14th, during its annual Season of Giving charitable campaign, AEG is dedicating its holiday efforts to YoYo School of Hip Hop. Founded by GRAMMY-nominated rap artist YoYo with the help of U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters' Community Build program, YoYo School of Hip Hop provides classes on artist development, beat production, theater, vocal training and hip hop dance. The classes are designed to nurture the creativity of the youth by improving their reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Today's 28th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles saw a massive turnout, with 30,000 participants filling the streets of West Hollywood and Los Angeles. Celebrity supporters, elected officials, and notable AIDS activists addressed the crowd assembled in and around West Hollywood Park before the walkers set out on the route. The event also achieved strong fundraising results, which benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and 29 other important L.A. County AIDS service organizations.
