SHARK WEEK, the only television event that takes your summer to fincredible oceans around the globe begins Sunday, July 28 and continues through Sunday, August 4 on Discovery Channel. This year, the pop culture phenomenon takes viewers on the ultimate 'Shark Trip' as actor, comedian and retired Marine Rob Riggle packs his bags and dives back into the water for a shark-filled adventure with some of his celebrity friends. The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced the first ever NYMF Artist Fellowship, a two-year program that will be awarded annually to an exceptional artist of note who is changing the landscape of musical theater. The fellowship involves the presentation of a reading or concert in the first year of the fellowship and a full production in the second year.

Beyond the Fables is the Unicorn Theatre's exclusive fundraising gala dinner, which will take place on the Unicorn's main stage on Wednesday 5th June 2019. Final casting has been announced for the upcoming concert performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's iconic musical CAROUSEL for one night only at Cadogan Hall on Sunday 19th May.

Based on the smash-hit movie starring Tom Hanks, BIG The Musical makes its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited nine-week season from 6 September to 2 November 2019, with a Gala Night in aid of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday 17 September.

Discovery Channel announced today that it has ordered ROB RIGGLE: GLOBAL INVESTIGATOR (w/t), an all-new series that follows actor, comedian and retired Marine, Rob Riggle as he takes his passion for adventure across the globe in hopes of solving some of the world's greatest mysteries. Inspired by his grandfather, Riggle developed an explorer's spirit at an early age, captivated by incredible myths and legends from far off places he could only imagine. Now, Riggle will embark on heart-pounding journeys, seeing everything the world has to offer one mystery at a time. Mark Farrelly (Quentin Crisp: Naked Hope) presents his riveting, kinetic solo show portraying one of the great English writers of the inter-war years. What a bizarre year 2018 has been. In the months that saw too much Trump, devastating Californian wildfires, an escalation in the refugee crisis, not to mention the dreaded 'B' word, it makes me more grateful than ever for the pure escapism that live theatre so often provides.

AboutFACE Ireland have announced the final selections for the 2018 NEWvember New Plays Festival Dublin – a showcase of original plays to be held at The New Theatre in Dublin's city centre, November 8-10 2018. The announcement was made by AboutFACE Co-Artistic Directors Anna Nugent and Paul Nugent. NEWvember Dublin will feature these works over a three-day weekend, presented via rehearsed readings. After 5 years of NEWvember Festivals in New York, this is the 2nd year the event will be held in Dublin. The spirit of NEWvember is to provide a dynamic, interactive and welcoming place where writers can hear their plays read by seasoned actors, and discuss their work and creative process. It was also announced that many of this year's playwrights will be in attendance, and will take part in post show Q&As, including writers travelling from the US.

The Habit of Art is a wonderfully funny and deeply moving revival of Alan Bennett's fantastic 2009 follow up to The History Boys. The play focuses on a fictional meeting between WH Auden and Benjamin Britten in 1972, when Britten seeks out his old friend to combat his loneliness and ask advice about his new composition of Death in Venice. This meeting is framed as a play within a play where rehearsals are taking place; aged thesps Fitz and Henry play Auden and Britten respectively, musing on life, ageing, sex and art.

Following a slew of four and five star reviews for performances in York, Brighton, Salisbury and Oxford, Alan Bennett's The Habit of Art comes to the Belgrade Theatre this November in a new production from Original Theatre Company.

After opening to critical acclaim in 2009, the Original Theatre Company in collaboration with York Theatre Royal are bringing back Alan Bennett's The Habit of Art in its first revival since the original sell-out run. Centred around a fictional meeting between two of the 20th century's most influential gay artists, poet WH Auden and composer Benjamin Britten, the production boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Matthew Kelly and David Yelland.

Get a first look at rehearsal images from the first revival of Alan Bennett's THE HABIT OF ART, which opens at York Theatre Royal on 30 August 2018. The National Tour will then continue through to 1 December 2018.

Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominee Matthew Morrison (GLEE, HAIRSPRAY, THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA) and Olivier-winning Laura Michelle Kelly (who originated the title role in MARY POPPINS) were the special guests at a splendid Mormon Tabernacle Choir tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein, also featuring the Orchestra at Temple Square and narrated by Oscar "Andy" Hammerstein III.   The one-of-a-kind event was presented free of charge as a gift to the community Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the impressive 21,000-seat Conference Center.  It is available to view online in full (in five languages) at www.mormontabernaclechoir.org.

Last night, July 21, Matthew Morrison and Laura Michelle Kelly performed a concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in honor of Pioneer Day. The pair, who co-starred together in Finding Neverland on Broadway, sang a repertoire of Rodgers and Hammerstein's music.

Janie Dee, Danielle Hope, Ria Jones and Claire Sweeney are announced to star in Don't Tell Me Not To Fly, which will play at newly refurbished McEwan Hall, Bristo Square at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Original Theatre Company, York Theatre Royal, and Ghost Light Productions are delighted to announce the full cast for the first ever revival of Alan Bennett's THE HABIT OF ART directed by Philip Franks and starring Matthew Kelly as Fitz (W. H. Auden) and David Yelland as Henry (Benjamin Britten).
