With under a week until Ron Arad's installation Curtain Call opens Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, the Roundhouse have announced new information about the eclectic live music programme.

This August, Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, the annual season dedicated to introducing new audiences to innovative culture, returns for its fifth consecutive year with Curtain Call by internationally renowned artist, architect and designer Ron Arad.  Ron Arad's 360° floor-to-ceiling installation is made up of 5,600 silicon rods suspended and filling the Roundhouse's iconic main space. Alongside the installation the Roundhouse has announced seven unique music events, designed by an eclectic mix of artists to take place as one-off performances in and around the installation.

Last night, Wednesday 23 March, saw the opening night of the much-anticipated production of Duncan Macmillan's intoxicating new play, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS, at the Wyndham's Theatre. Having recently extended its run for two weeks due to popular demand, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS is booking to 18 June 2016. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening night festivities below!

Transferring to the West End after a sell-out National Theatre run, Duncan Macmillan's PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS opened last night at Wyndham's Theatre. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the show is a collaboration between the National and Headlong. It's recently extended its run and is now booking to June 18.

Previews begin at the Wyndham's Theatre on Tuesday 15 March, with opening night on Wednesday 23 March, and having recently extended its run, PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS is booking until 18 June 2016. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS, a collaboration between the National Theatre and Headlong, played to sell-out houses at the NT's Dorfman Theatre last year. Ted Sod: Why did you choose to direct Machinal? Lyndsey Turner: I first read Machinal when I was at university: I was struck by the boldness of the writing, the way Treadwell follows, with brutal inexorable logic, the journey of an unremarkable woman through a series of encounters which lead her to commit a remarkable act. The play is a brilliant account of the impact of mechanization and industrialization on American society, as well a forensic and unflinching portrait of a young woman in crisis.

When Ultraísta released their eponymous debut album last fall, it quickly established a couple universal truths: 1) Nigel Godrich and Joey Waronker are incredibly innovative musicians and producers whose fingerprints are embedded in their most notable collaborators (namely Atoms For Peace, Radiohead, and Beck); and 2) Laura Bettinson's beguiling voice and mesmerizing stage presence make the impressive pedigree of this band a moot point. Her voice could stand out over virtually any sound, and nothing proves this better than an album of star-studded remixes.

Forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include plays familiar, rare and new: Shakespeare's Othello, Gorky's Children of the Sun,James Baldwin's The Amen Corner;Marlowe's Edward II, Pirandello's Liola, Eugene O'Neill's Strange Interlude and Georg Kaiser's From Morning to Midnight. Tori Amos and Samuel Adamson's musical The Light Princess will premiere in October, and there will be a new adaptation of Emil and the Detectives for family audiences at Christmas.
